1cup wheat flour
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/4 cup butter(at room temperature)
1/2 cup powdered jaggery
2 tbsp powdered sugar
1/8 cup milk
1/2 tsp vanilla essence
1/4 cup choco chips
Preheat oven at 180 deg C for 10 mins. In a mixing bowl, place a flour siever.Add flour,baking powder and baking soda.Sieve it twice.
Set aside. In another mixing bowl add butter, jaggery and sugar.
Beat it well. I used my electric beater. You can use a whisk too. Add 1/8 cup milk.
Add vanilla essence.Mix well.
Now add the flour and mix it with your finger tips until it forms crumbly.Now add choco chips.
Add 1 or 2 tbsp milk till it holds together. When you hold with your palms it should leave an impression and it should not fall apart. No need to form a dough. Now take a spoonful of the mixture and roll it using your palms and slightly flatten it. Arrange it on a baking tray with parchment paper laid.
Now take few choco chips and press it on each cookie on top. Bake in preheated oven at 180 deg C for 15-20 mins or until the cookies turn golden. Cool on wirerack then store!
