1 cup regular rawa

1 cup quacker oats

1.5 cup dahi

1/2 tsp baking soda

salt to taste

Tempering (optional) 

Get your idli stand ready with water in it and put on gas. grease the idli moulds.

take rawa, oats, salt, soda and mix. add curd and little water and prepare the batter. leave it for 5 min (don’t leave for more time else it gets sticky). Add water if needed to get the consistency of idli batter. You can add tempering to the batter (its optional) : take oil, heat it. add 1 tsp urad daal, 1/2 tsp mustard seeds and few curry leaves. Add this tempering to the batter and mix well. 

pour batter in idli moulds, sprinkle sambhar masal on it and steam them for 15 mins. Remove from the stand, let cool a little and scoop it out.

yummy healthy idlis are ready to go with chutney and sambhar.

You can grind the oats if you wish to. I have served the idlis with Milagai podi powder & oil paste.
